Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Cihak and I am beyond excited to be serving as your 2016 Philomath Frolic and Rodeo Queen!
I grew up in Corvallis, graduated from Corvallis High School and I am currently in my sophomore year at Oregon State University pursuing a degree in agricultural science. After graduation I hope to be able to use the skills that I learn this year to continue to promote the values and importance of agriculture and the western way of life.
Being able to represent this community across the state of Oregon this year will be a dream come true! Growing up horses were always a love of mine and for my tenth birthday my grandma took me to a horse barn in our neighborhood for my first lesson and the rest is history! Starting then I began cleaning stalls in exchange for lessons. Since then I have competed in everything from stadium and cross country jumping to reigning. My amazing team mate for this year is a six year old buckskin mustang named Remi. As a first generation rodeo enthusiast I want to be able to inspire people to blaze their own trail and to follow their heart.
I hope to see everyone in Philomath from July 7th to July 10th for a fun weekend with memories that will last a lifetime!
